INTRODUCTION

The school as in previous years has continued its effort in making “Computer Literacy” a prime agenda in its curriculum. The school is equipped with an advanced Computer lab with all modern facilities needed to enhance better computer knowledge to its students. The computers have the adequate configurations needed for conducting I.C.S.E and I.S.C classes. The main aim of Computer Department is to provide Good Education as well as Dynamic knowledge to the students so that in future they can easily perform their task. The school provides Internet facilities to the Boarders during school hours also.

CONFIGURATION

The lab is equipped with a Windows 2000 Professional Server (SERVICE PACK-5, 40 GB HARD DISK, 128 MB RAM), which has 16 interconnected nodes (having Windows 98) joined to a hub. All machines are attached to U.P.S to avoid improper shutdown. Also all machines have antivirus to avoid the virus problem.

The lab is also equipped with a DeskJet, Dot-Matrix printers and Scanner for enhancing computer skills.

SOFTWARE

In keeping in view of the modern technological advancement the department is not only equipped with basic software packages but has also installed latest software modules in the machines.
